L.O. Identify and analyse a target audience using demographics and psychographics.


I think that this magazine is aimed at men age 40+ who like pop and rock music. I think that it is mainly aimed at white, British people as they like that kind of music. I think the social class of the readers would be ABC1. 

Demographics = Male, 40+, Caucasian, mix of married and single, ABC1, went to school, got quite a good job.

Psychographics = (young and rubicam) the mainstream and explorer, (lifestyle category) cowboy and egoists, (VAL) esteem seekers.








The difference between demographics and psychographics is that demographics is more life facts and psychographics is more peoples behaviours.

  • Q magazine readers are the males that are over 40 but have a good taste in moosic. Interested in pop and rock music, Q magazine readers are the British men who appreciate the good things in life?
