1.Big wave surfer from Cornwall Tom Butler hit by tonnes of water

- What? Tom was hit by a 30ft wave whilst in a big wave surfing competition.

- Who? Tom Butler

- Where? Nazare, Portugal

- When? 29th December 2016

- How? The huge wave came down on top of him and knocked him out, split his                        ear, bruised his ribs and water got into his lungs.

- Ideas - Talk about how Cornwall is known for its surfing but talk about the dangers and use Tom as an example. Possibly interview Tom about his accident and ask about his big wave surfing career.

2. A30 traffic misery at Bodmin roadworks as thousands leave Cornwall

-What? A30 traffic queues leave people angry

-Who? People in the traffic jam (emmets) and the builders

-Where? Bodmin's A30

-When? Since the roadworks started back in June 2015

-How? Building a second lane on the road causing the traffic to jam
